L’AVEM est un instrument diagnostique qui permet d’évaluer le comportement et l’expérience face aux exigences professionnelles, en tenant compte de l’aspect de la santé. Il repose sur la détermination d’un modèle d’exigences personnalisé.
Utilisation
La procédure sert avant tout au dépistage précoce de risques pour la santé ainsi qu’à la justification et la division des mesures préventives d’intervention liée aux personnes et aux conditions. Elle s’utilise ainsi principalement dans le domaine du développement de la personnalité, l’organisation du travail, la réinsertion professionnelle et la consultation psychologique sanitaire et clinique.
L’AVIS est une méthode valide qui permet l’évaluation de comportements agressifs sur la route. La particularité de cette méthode repose sur le fait d'opposer situations normales et situations de stress.

The Differential Stress Inventory HR provides a detailed analysis of stress behaviour and categorizes individuals according to stress type. It is a version of the Differential Stress Inventory DSI containing items that have been specially adapted for use in the field of HR.
